The rapid expansion of space-based optical systems has created an unprecedented demand for manufacturing precision telescope at production volumes. Traditional alignment, integration, and testing (AI&T) methodologies that have worked well for one-off systems do not scale well for production measurement. This article explores approaches to AI&T that do scale for volume production, using interferometry with CGHs for component, subassembly and system alignment, including calibration for gravity and final verification of image quality.
