We are proud to announce that Cormic Merle, our Director of Metrology Systems at AOM Rochester, has been elected as the President-Elect of the Rochester Section of OPTICA for the 2023-2024 term. Cormic has been active in the Rochester Section for several years and has at times been a council member, serving as a House Co-chair and Program Co-chair. He has also been involved in various outreach and educational activities to promote optics in the Rochester community.
As the president-elect of the Rochester Section, Cormic will lead the executive committee and oversee the planning and execution of various events and initiatives for the section. He will also represent the section at national and international events, and collaborate with other sections and chapters of OPTICA. Cormic brings his extensive experience and expertise in optical metrology, as well as his passion and vision for advancing optics in Rochester.
