AOM is happy to welcome Tyler Gross! Before joining the AOM team, Tyler earned an MS in mechanical engineering from The University of Arizona. His area of study emphasized solid mechanics and material behavior under various loadings. He plans to apply his skills to solve difficult optomechanical challenges, such as designing metrology platforms to measure complex optical surfaces and systems. Tyler also holds a minor in business administration, preparing him to assist in financial considerations within technical projects and developing tools for more efficient development. Beyond work hours, he’s mostly outdoors, exploring Arizona’s hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing. When it’s too hot outside, he hones his culinary skills and enjoys crafting new dishes for his friends and family. We’re so glad to have Tyler as part of our engineering team!
